Digital Photography - A form of photography that utilizes digital technology to make digital images of subjects. There is no film or developing involved in this photo process.

Fashion Photography - A genre of photography devoted to displaying clothing and other fashion items and usually incorporates models.

Food Photography - Widely considered one of the most difficult specialties for professional photographers, the reason being the small window of time (1-3 minutes) you have to shoot before the food looks undesirable (hence, the importance of a good food stylist).

Product Photography - The name of the game is to show details of an object clearly. Studio lighting is key. One tried and true way to uniformly light small objects is to surround it in a light box.

Advertising Photography - Photographs made to sell a service or product, commissioned by and advertising agency.

Commercial Photography - Photography as a commercial endeavor is one in which money exchanges hands for the creation of a photo. Some areas of commercial photography include: fashion photography, food photography, advertising photography, product photography, still life photography, photojournalism, wedding photography, portrait photography, fine art photography, wildlife photography and stock photography.
